I always look at benchmarks performance to price ratios when building my pcs. Typically end up paying only 30% or a prebuilt system all things considered.

My 5 yo machine only needs $700 worth of upgrades to complete with the top dogs. It still won’t be in the top performance tiers but those differences are typically negligible.
