Tor's main limitation is not speed. It's bandwidth.

It depends on the route. Some nodes have bandwidth limits, others not

Is there any way to control which route it takes? I am opening 300+ connections, so maybe we can split them into multiple routes?

You can node specify the route but you can specify which countries for example. And for the exit node as well. You have all the config options in the torrc file

Also some nodes block ports, there are a lot of nodes which only allow port 80/443 for example.

Maybe have a look over at tribler? Onion routed torrents, use it all the time. Its a university project so plenty of documentation. Im sure they have nice rapports on the matter

Do they have a way to use on Android?

Dont think so, windows mac and linux.
