#holup. “Private” zaps show up on nostr.band as anonymous zaps. In damus these are two discrete options. I didn’t realize anyone but the recipient could see anything, i feel so exposed!!!

Maybe no one will know.

Other than... I see 7s on Amethyst under notes as a random npub.

Private zaps are always from an anon npub, but clients that support private zaps, decrypt the content (which is the real sender + message) with your key, so you see them

We need to notice the coindence most I think. If you like a post and I get some sats I just assume it's you. Otherwise I don't pay much attention so I'd guess the privacy is good enough for most.

Saying that, it is interesting how some clients give a lot more info than others. One thing that is clear is everyone needs to use more than one to see the whole picture.
