Just a tiny #prepper #tip. I bought some ready foods to heat up easily. I bought this and that according to the expiration date (year or two at least) and didn't rotate much - we moved, everything was a mess and I know how to cook from scratch, so there was never need to eat these. We have to rotate them now, they mostly expired around march😅But as far as sealed long-term meals go, the few months up are nothing. https://nostrcheck.me/media/public/nostrcheck.me_6638863570998611021690453844.webp I bought sealed food back in Germany, because I believe their quality is a bit higher than in Czechia, but I might be wrong nowadays. Many were tastier two three years ago, especially canned soups. Check in Czechia where does it in come from. This goulash thing is expired since January, was just in a box and seems to be completely ok. It's meat in sour sauce and the spetzle taste bit stale, but are easily dividable and couldn't taste better as this old and cooked. So if you want something easy and for storage, check out your local Kaufland. #storage #food #prepping

I'll update how the intoxication went🫡👍Bär out🐻‍❄️

Wo man immer dran denken muss:

Very good point about plastic storage. You'll eat it up with your food, there's like 6 months guarantee from the manufacturer.

Avoid microplastics, it is quite a big deal.

I kinda knew that and try to avoid plastics altogether, but if it comes to easily stored food, we all have to pick our personal choices. I think eating food sealed in plastic once a year to rotate brings less risks than benefit of a ready meal. I might be very wrong, please add more data.

My long-term plan is vacuumed mylar bags and turn the rest to glass and cans, but it's so much work, so heavy and pricey! How do you guys think about long term storage?

(Also lyofylization/freeze drying arouses me big time but USA wins over us so far)
