How could you be sure if there’s no basis for knowing the probabilities of life ever occurring? Even if the universe is infinitely big, based on our current evidence for how life occurs (zero evidence) it’s like looking for an igloo in an infinitely large Saharan desert.

If you look into the crazy pressure, low oxygen levels, and conditions that exist in the depths of the ocean. I just wouldn’t rule out the possibility. It’s definitely very scarce for sure. I’ve never been to space though 😂

There’s a lot that goes into the 0 ->1 of non life to life (cell). I don’t know how valid the claim is but the amount of data in a cell would fill up 100 encyclopedia volumes (875mb). I don’t see how you can create the perfect conditions for even 1 encyclopedia, much less survive and then have it know to replicate and have it be 99.99% accurate.

Seems impossible to create the perfect conditions for but then again I am taking the religious viewpoint so I’m biased 🙂

God is a pretty creative and brilliant creator. He’s capable of much more than we can comprehend. I’m not ruling out the possibility of some kind of life outside of our bubble
