Do I need 3 nostr.wine relays? #[3]
Welcome is the most optional as it’s strictly focused on isolating new user posts (read only for you).
We do recommend adding both filter.nostr.wine and nostr.wine as filter does not aggregate from or broadcast to nostr.wine. We’ve debated changing this a few times but have decided to keep them separate for a few reasons.
Couldn’t have said it better myself :) I keep welcome in my list because I occasionally turn off other relays on my global and see who has recently joined

Mutiny wallet blasts your note to every known relay (or ones on relay.watch). It’s kinda crazy!
Oh that is wild. But helps with engaging people while we are still small I guess. Wouldn’t it be less bandwidth saved with gossip model ?
Btw what does the Bitcoin and global icon mean?

Bitcoin icon means they are paid
It has none. It is write only relay. Code is opensourse and you can host your own on your own Cloudflare account. I do! 🐶🐾🫡
IMHO it would be helpful if #Damus would indicate, to which paid relays the user has a subscription. E.g., this could be shown by replacing the orange BTC symbol by a green one.
Ya. A “paid” label might be more broadly understood.
I should do a read up on Relay choices and what to consider when 😅 Thanks for sharing.
