Love seeing great music makers on PeerTube! With the Online Saftey Act in the UK and other bills worldwide, the internet is going to be increasing hostile to humans just trying to do their thing with a degree of autonomy. I always feel grubby watching stuff on YouTube.

DIY FTW.

Ps. When Nostr native self hosted video app? Or does it matter, if self hosting something like PeerTube?

Just use PeerTube, because the video file itself will never be hosted on a Nostr relay. Ideally, PeerTube would also add more protocols for publishing and comments.

Yeah I was thinking that as I walked to work… I know there’s been attempts at getting Peertube and Lightning running but I’ve always struggled to get it working together but at least it seems on devs radar.

The online safety act is stupid. Any site that will request my ID will be “blacklisted” by myself for bowing to authoritarianism.

Yeah not playing games with that shit. So far the only real issue for me has been YouTube which is why I’m very happy seeing more indie music people on Peertube.

Loved the video and the track. Brilliant stuff!

Yeah she’s great, does the animation herself too.

Absolutely brilliant, going to check out her other work.

I know exactly what you mean about feeling grubby after watching YouTube these days. I can’t stomach it anymore myself. The endless audience capture, the same-same video formats, the same recycled buzzwords shouted in that obnoxious, over-amped delivery… It’s exhausting. And honestly, it’s stomach-turning to see grown adults lowering themselves to these levels just to chase clicks. Get a life I'm out.

Innit! Very rarely feels like a ‘you’ tube anymore. Nearly everything has a conformity of production, any niche homespun gets buried. And now, the moment a website like that gives me any friction I just fuck off and click something else instead.

It's not a healthy place to be. In fact, it's a yawn-fest for grifters all dull folk. Uppa Nostr massive!

Indeed. Ps, loving the new logo!

Living the dream innit
