◾ The death toll from Israel’s genocide in Gaza has surpassed 10,000 rising to at least 10,022.

◾ The US Navy has dispatched a guided-missile submarine capable of launching nuclear missiles to the Middle East in their latest show of force.

◾ The “highest number” of “UN fatalities ever recorded in a single conflict” was reported by the UN; 88 UNRWA staff have been killed in Gaza since October 7.

◾ “The Israel-Gaza war has become the deadliest four-week period for journalists covering conflict since the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) began documenting journalist fatalities in 1992.” According to the CPJ, at least 36 journalists and media workers have been killed since October 7.

◾ At least 70 Palestinians were arrested overnight in yet another wave of violent raids across the occupied West Bank. More than 2,000 people have been arrested in these raids since October 7, including at least 49 women and 17 journalists. Settlers and the Israeli military in the occupied West Bank have also killed at least 155 Palestinians.

◾ The Israeli army is recruiting Jewish settlers who have not served in the Israeli military to post them as “defense militiamen” in various settlements in the occupied West Bank and are accepting those with criminal records.

◾ In the West Bank, Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich wants to “create sterile security areas around [Jewish] communities and roads and to prevent Arabs from entering them.”

◾ Israel’s Iron Dome defense system was overwhelmed by rocket barrages coming from Gaza, with an Israeli interceptor rocket landing in the central area of the city of Rishon LeZion, south of Tel Aviv.

◾ Hezbollah has fired a barrage of rockets at an Israeli town after Israel killed three children and their grandmother in a targeted drone attack on their car.
