You should also check out nostr:npub1nxy4qpqnld6kmpphjykvx2lqwvxmuxluddwjamm4nc29ds3elyzsm5avr7 for image hosting. It’s free for basic use (already integrated into most clients) and you can upgrade for more storage and features.
Damus does it well. Photos and videos. For videos, I use nostr.build hosting service. There’s a free tier I use the paid tier for more features and storage space
I think the video files are too large. They are videos I’ve posted to YouTube before I just don’t want to take people off this platform to see my content. The free version of nostr.build doesn’t allow for video files as large. They’re only 4/5 mins long though.
A few solutions come to mind:
-apps to compress the video, before uploading to nostr.build free tier
-nostr.build paid tiers

It’s worth upgrading if you want to post a lot of video content. You get full control over the file management and you’re supporting the creator economy by doing this. I say this as someone who has had a paid account for over a year. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
