If it's not an old tree, you might have some kind of pest eating the nutrients, weakening the limbs

We've been treating the acreage for ants, we did have to take down a few trees and destroy the wood due to rot, and the tree in question here has a major limb that is likely dead weight due to the bulging of the bark, meaning that nutrients are having a hard time getting to that limb. I'm worried this tree may just have too much stacked against it.
