Oh boy, did no one ever tell you that politicians are full of it? The idea that they're defending Taiwan's sovereignty is a fairy tale. Almost no country recognizes Taiwan as a sovereign state.

Below is a list of countries that officially recognize Taiwan as a sovereign nation and maintain diplomatic relations with it:

- Vatican City (since 1942)

- Haiti (1956)

- Paraguay (1957)

- Guatemala (1960)

- Eswatini (formerly Swaziland, since 1968)

- Tuvalu (1979)

- St. Vincent and the Grenadines (1981)

- St. Kitts and Nevis (1983)

- Belize (1989)

- Marshall Islands (1998)

- Palau (1999)

- St. Lucia (1984–1997; again since 2007)

Please indicate where to find the US because I can't see it. LOL.

By the way, what you call "whataboutism" is actually called putting things into perspective, and your inability to recognize the difference speaks volumes.

Wake up. Don’t let them further brainwash you.

I disagree with your criticism of whataboutism as it really is irrelevant. I mean, what about when the Persians slaughtered the inhabitants of Miletus? Is it relevant?

But, I agree with your point about the US abandoning support of Taiwanese sovereignty, which they did in 1979 (though President Biden reaffirmed it) for political reasons. Bottom line is that Taiwan is entitled to self-determination and survival just as Israel is. I don't deny Israel has done some shitty things, but that doesn't justify the destruction of the nation of Israel.

Wake up. Don’t let them further brainwash you.

Ok, thanks.

Who are they, btw?

Ordinary people parroting convenient lies, mostly.

...and destruction of the state of Israel is in Iran's constitution
