I got mine not for the check but more for the nostr.plebs relay. Honestly I'm still confused to a degree all that it offers. Check marks "verification" be damned.
Yes. They always have been.
Isn't it just a matter of interpretation? The server is just replying that it knows your npub, anyway a very weak verification marker
