One of my hash boards went off on my S9. Two others are working fine.

Is it dead or is there something I can fix via OS? Running Braiins.

I'm in a similar situation with one of my miners. It seems to run ok when underclocked but i suspect its not entirely efficient... When I try to clock it at 1450 the tuner never stabilizes no matter how long i run the miner. Are you seeing similar behavior?

Sort of. It’s not entirely stable, but not sure if it’s because of the one hashboard being completely out. No power and no light on the board itself and no power or hash showing on the dashboard either.

Not the worst thing ever I guess, I mean it’s underclocking by itself now, but obviously I’d like to get all 3 boards operating.

Look at the logs and see if there is a chip failing. Easiest answer is to replace the board; more complex answer is to replace the specific chip. If the other boards work fine then it’s likely not the controller, firmware, or power supply.

Yeah that makes sense, thanks!

sometimes this happens to mine, but so far it's come back when i restart the miner.

Yeah, I’ll see if it gets any juice later. I think I’d probably need a new board, but at this point I’d probably just buy another S9 and use the other one for spare parts.

Probably just needs a restart.

Yeah, did that, no dice. Like I was saying, at this point from a space heater perspective, it still heats the room nice with two boards (essentially under-clocking by default now) and if I need a new board I’ll just grab another S9 and save this one for spare parts.

I believe there’s a way to use a single main board to control 2 miners worth of hash boards?
