If I were to send you a monthly email newsletter, what kinds of things would you want to read about?
Discussion
Those recent notes about wine making and how the big boys all mess with the process to make more money. You had a few notes that you could make into whole newsletters.
Agree. Already doing the writing so I'm thinking about what mediums would be most effective for it.
What would YOU subscribe to?
I would subscribe to something that "uncloaks" (un-corked lol) the industry. What to look for in wines, what makes small batch wines different than "industrial wine". Everyone drinks wine but nobody knows how to tell them apart or the difference between how they are made.
It's literally a dark art.
Absolutely. There's so much to say about that. A non snoody wine newsletter
Thanks for the feedback!
General info about wine making, photos of the vineyard, details of the chemical processes involved, health related facts. Basically a curated version of your Nostr feed!
I do sometimes see your longer form posts and intend to go back and read them, and then forget. Email would fix this for me.
(Unfortunately a far off appreciator and not a buyer as postage is near impossible where I live. An email could be easily forwarded on to people who might be tho!)
Appreciate the feedback!
Not holding you to this, but specifically you're saying that YOU would subscribe to a more curated form of my Nostr feed via email?
No worries about not buying. š«”
I would definitely subscribe. I love Nostr but don't try to keep up with everything. I respect and appreciate what you're doing, and would love to learn more and continue to be inspired. Based on what you share on Nostr, a monthly or fortnightly email newsletter would be more than worth my time.
It's also a really easy way for me to share what you're doing with others who might either be inspired, or even be buyers.
Amazing! Thank you for the feedback.
I've never been an email newsletter receiver so it's hard for me to envision what people would want.
Do you ever do permaculture type stuff on your property? Posting what youāve done both successfully and with great failure are helpful.
My dad is more into that. His life dream was to retire to a farm and grow all his own food
So many of the lessons can be applied to business and wine making. How do you streamline processes and use proximity of waste streams to get better wine? Sounds like you have an awesome Dad!
Most of my āfarmingā has been failure and Iām glad Iāve never had to rely on my skills to eat! š
Instead of email newsletter, how about nostr newsletter directly to user inbox ? Can build one āļø
every newsletter iāve ever signed up for, i thought i would want to to read it but i never do š¤·āāļø
then i go through a process where i dont want to unsubscribe cause it would be admitting i was stupid, delete it a few times without reading until im tired of what i now think of as spam, and then i give in and just accept that i was stupid and unsubscribe
but im sure there are people that appreciate newsletters
I'm the same way
Real stories
Sounds simple
But I think it is
Tie in you entrepreneurial exploits, with tough lessons, things that worked or didnāt work, then use it to sell your wine with special offers etc
Essentially itās just another way to catch peopleās attention and add value
And that's what you specifically would subscribe to?
At a high level yes
If you could fuse in:
- how bitcoin works in a business
- niche market dynamics (eg supply chain problems) that help see what is actually going on in an economy
- how Bitcoin is being adopted in general is always fascinating
Maybe you could have a premium subscription that gave you deals on the wine? Early bird? Discounts?
