He is -10 hours from me, so communication can be tricky. He was able to download Primal, and he was able to like a few of my posts so I could see his engagement and get his npub. That enabled me to be able to send him 100 sats, which is about 8.66 ksm, not a lot of money. I'm encouraging him to start posting photos and stories about what he is doing to help build his community in the camp, but I haven't seen anything yet. When he does, I can start zapping his posts and sharing them so others can help.

What he really needs in the short term is an easy way to convert the sats into currency that he can use in the real world, probably to pay for more bandwidth at the beginning, but expenses are just as real over there as they are anywhere else.

My goals over the long term is to get him to have others in his community who buy and sell products and services p2p download Primal as well so they can move sats around in exchange for those goods and services directly instead of needing to convert them to any local currency. The more comfortable they are doing that, the better. I don't know how long this will take, but I'll be here trying to encourage it no matter what.
