I will have to give this a listen. It is still so wild to me, this concept. I posted a thought earlier and a few minutes later someone sent me 1000 sats for my random thought. I didn't ask for it. They just liked my thought. And that is why I love it here. Not because of the sats but because they valued my words.

Payment discovery is something I’ve thought about but never in a detailed manner. Being able to pay someone without their permission is truly an innovation that mankind has never seen before. Even in money’s basic form of cash or gold coins, to pay someone they had to physically take the money you were handing them, thereby giving their permission for the payment. I’m sure everyone has had the high friction experience of trying to give someone money and that person refuses to stick out their hand to accept the payment out of pride, stubbornness, laziness or whatever other reason. To think that a technology now exists to eliminate this high friction interaction is just another reason to be incredibly excited and hopeful for the future.

It’s incredible that we can now receive value for our thoughts if it impacts someone else. The opposite is also just as exciting, getting to send people value when one of their thoughts impacts you is equally as rewarding
