New conspiracy theory:

1) free limitless energy/antigravity technology exists.

2) public disclosure of this technology will cause societal chaos.

3) Bitcoin was invented to incentivize continued suppression of this tech (because what value is proof of work if work is free?)

May I have my tin foil crown back now, please?

We already have limitless energy. The real conspiracy is that Bitcoin was designed to make us not care about money and just work together for fun.

Own nothing and "Have fun playing with your bitcoins."

I don't know if this is sarcastic or not. HFSP

Sarcasm. I'm saying that maybe Trump is in on the conspiracy.

He's definitely informed. It doesn't matter. We will continue to work on open source money and projects regardless.

Trump learned a lot about bitcoin while reading the speech written for him at the bitcoin conference. With busy people, it’s tough to get new ideas into their brain…time is limited.

While I don’t think Trump gets bitcoin yet, his sons do. RFK does. Vance does.

His son also gets it.

You should watch The Lost Century by Steven Greer

Greer seems to me to be a bit of a loony, but he’s fun

I don't think you can do what he does and not come across that way no matter how accurate he may or not be. If the world he describes is real then he would seem that way to anyone. That reality would make you seem that way to people who didn't know.

I like ideas like this, but I wonder if anyone could successfully gatekeep free limitless energy/antigravity tech

I’d give up all my bitcoin to live in a world of such abundance.

kind of mind boggling to try and imagine. what would life look like with limitless free energy for everyone?

haha every scenario I can imagine ends with us just ascending to a higher plane of existence

According to Tesla's writings, free energy and anti gravity were discovered by Nikola Tesla in the early 1900's.

I was contemplating the implications for bitcoin; only 8% of the supply remains to be mined. It would only remove the energy cost for mining the remaining coins. There would still be the cost of the infrastructure.

Would this really affect the value so much? I don't think so. The benefit is that the network would be less expensive to maintain. After most the supply is mined, the system still needs to be profitable for those processing transactions. Energy being free would help keep transaction fees down.
