That's how I felt when nostr first came out. But eventually you start to see past all that nonsense and use it for what you like to do on nostr that you can't do anywhere else. But I do understand your frustration
I'm not too sold on this platform. Honestly doesn't feel like much of an improvement over the free side of the fediverse.
The only thing on here you don't have to deal with is jannies.
spam is an issue on any platform but nostr can handle it well
No, I am not talking about the spam. The spam here is very small problem. I am talking about the fact that >80% of the posts are crypto related. I've promoted it on 4chan some time ago and all the replies were in the form of "fuck off with this crypto bullshit". It is known as crypto discussion and not as a free speech platform.

I don't think that is nessesarily a bad thing. The free speech crowd is pretty small and obsessed with Jews. They make platforms hard to grow. I would prefer it be built first off other communities. But we do need more communities.
