The main problem is that 80% of the accounts here seem to ONLY talk about Nostr ITSELF or BTC. If I’m here and committed to this platform, I’m already invested in that. There needs to be more diversity in content and opinions. Heck, most of the mainstream platforms even have swarms of people USING but HATE them.

Outside of new updates (eg: hey, this new NIP protocol has X features), that shouldn’t be getting done ON Nostr that much. That is promotion that needs to happen ELSEWHERE. That’s something that needs to be posted on X/Youtube/etc to say “look at this cool thing we have over here”. Then you need to have engaging content to KEEP people on here once they arrive. If all they see is “wow, welcome to Nostr, Nostr is so cool, Bitcoin is so cool, have you heard of Nostr and Bitcoin? Arent they so cool?” They will just leave.

I think, in terms of capabilities, Nostr is the best platform I’ve ever been on. But, god damn, where are the cooking channels? The cute cats? The guys building crazy stuff in their garage? The musicians?

Nostrudel and jumble are pretty good for uploading attachments like that

Yeah. Primal might have its flaws, but I can’t be thankful enough for how easy it made things for me to start a lightning wallet and start earning sats. For a guy that knew NOTHING about that stuff getting into Nostr, that was critical. I’ll definitely be forever thankful to nostr:npub12vkcxr0luzwp8e673v29eqjhrr7p9vqq8asav85swaepclllj09sylpugg for that ease of adoption.
