One though about useful bots and their relation with payed relays.

Remember the bot Japan users use for the tsunami warnings that twitter blocked because of too many subscribers and bcz the bot didn't have twitter subscription.

Amongst thousands of relays we have, Nostr should have a system where publicly good bots like toxic chemical polution, extreeme space weather or radioactivity warnings should be blasted through all the relays avalible on the network without a friction. Maybe tsunami does fall in more regional category but extreme space weather, nuclear disaster, toxic chemical pollution do fall in the global matter.

There would not be manny such bots. Maybe 5 max and these would definitely needs special permissions for public safety 🛟

Maybe that's a new NIP proposal for immediate attention and please do not call it 911 because that's a local thing!

I live in Japan. 🌊 a tsunami bot would be more important than tracking Elon’s jet.

As important as these things are, I imagine this type of thing will be either gamable or will push towards centralisation.

The cost for this type of thing should not be paid for by relays, it should be by the people. Zaps, donations, taxes, that sort of thing.

These things have costs, if they don't value the platforms (I say platform because I am talking about relays, not nostr as a whole) that they rely on, then they will ultimately fail to notice growing costs and will fail.

On one hand it sucks that something so critical is not guaranteed to work 100% of the time, on the other hand, if people care about that, they will contribute, either by funding or by alerting the alerters who seem to be slacking.
