what is the best non-custodial wallet for #bitcoin ? I am considering #coinbase for now.

For phone, you might consider Phoenix.

For some burner accounts you can consider Coinos.io but they are custotial but much better user interface.

Coinbase is not trustworthy. Their entire business model is to get you trading shitcoins on their platform. This is not consistent with bitcoin values. Namely the community value of not getting rekt.

Mostly yes, there are a few bitcoin only exchanges that encourage you to withdraw to self custody. In the US we have Swan and River. The rest are shitcoin casinos.

Wasabi Wallet (desktop only): It's private by default since it uses compact block filters to mask your xpub address and Tor to mask your IP address. It protects your on chain privacy with coinjoins.

Blixt Wallet (mobile only): Uses compact block filters as well, with optional Tor. It has Lightning (lnd) for making fast/cheap payments off chain.

Still testing… right now I’m using Alby. It’s cool for receiving but it doesn’t seem to be as seamless for sending. But, it could be user error.
