NOSTR seems including the most intelligent and energetic people with different background i had ever known so I think this might be the right place to ask for advice.😉 Big appreciate for any advice or feedback. and also i benefits a lot from writing down these info itself.

- Question: Should I quit my job in months?

- Background:

- For myself: single, no immediate plan for marriage, i have stable passive income (enough for myself but not wealthy)

- working in a company for 4 years, familiar environments, consulting focus, wasting too much time at "explaining AI to people who totally dont know about it"

- Other factors, I am currently living at almost the most crowded and busy city in the world but im not a big fan of city life. I like quiet environment and nature.

- For my future: i wanna have kid someday, will the money be enough? But I also wanna stay in an environment working on things i enjoy instead of purely solving others problem.

- Once i quite i kind wont go back. In my opinion working is still a good way to maintain a basic level of social for mental health. Can I successfully curate people around me after I quit?

😊 😀 😀 if you read until here, thanks first and wish you have a great day 😉

also I feel if I don’t resign now I will never resign for the rest of my life 🥲

Hmmm.

What would you like to do next?

How would you plan to get there?

Good question😳

🫣the biggest problem I solved in the past 10 years is being fully independent. And I feel a bit loss when I arrived that goal haha

Need to find more motivation

What I can tell you from similar experience is that whatever your goals are now they will change dramatically if/when you get kids. Been contemplating about living in rural area most of my life but that’s quite a challenge if you want to give your kids wide opportunities.

I don’t have bf currently so I guess these kids thing will be at least 5 years🤔 but year I agree with you 🥲

Based on what you’re writing (incl. stable passive income) - I’d say yes! Seems like you’re ready to move on! 🙌🌱

4 years already in the same company. I'd say it's time for some change. Complacency kills you

😶sometimes I feel I’m already dead

But still alive

"If you feel safe in the area you’re working in, you’re not working in the right area. Always go a little further into the water than you feel you’re capable of being in. Go a little bit out of your depth. And when you don’t feel that your feet are quite touching the bottom, you’re just about in the right place to do something exciting." David Bowie

Taking the first step bravely is essential to realizing the life you want

Yes I haven’t been so sure before 🥹
