I was massively blessed. I was running a software company with one other employee, so Feb-April when I went to FUTO I stayed on 10 hours a week. In May I went back full time, but told the board I was quitting. I went half-time in June, and finished up at the end of that month. My first payment from OpenSats came through mid-July, So I missed about a month of pay, which is not too bad all things considered!

Did you have a bunch of savings to help with the transition? That's a big move to make, but if you have savings and a place to land, it's not so bad.

Not really, but renting our house out while in Texas, plus working extra hours during that time and some contracting in between helped tide us over.
