Theres plenty of real life examples to drae from when things collapse too... yugoslavia, russia. Hell, if the author even caught a clue, he would know that in eastern europe under communism, they all had plenty of money.. so what was missing?
That's fair. I did the audiobook and enjoyed her writing. It was entertaining and still thought provoking. I'm not sure I was entertained by it so I don't think much was missing. I'm going off what you say for that. I'm not trying to change your mind just understand more of your prospective
I don’t think the purpose of the story was to be educational but to provide a realistic illustration of what the collapse would look like. For example, the uncle in the story had a farm and was self sufficient. Great for him, he managed to get by the most difficult times. But then the government returned to power and took the farm. I thought it was a brilliant depiction.
