You may want to look into it before switching, because setting it up first would be ideal, so you don't start from scratch. I think you can buy it preloaded.
But then I wonβt understand how it works. I think I need to take the pain and start from ground zero
True that! And I don't think it's nearly as complex as it seems, looks easier than setting up an umbrel.
If use the web installer is not hard at all. Can use a USB bootable Linux distro if prefer not to use Windows.
Installing GrapheneOS on Pixel was extremely smooth/easy (way easier than trying to get a custom rom on Samsung, for example). After installing just watch a couple YouTube videos on best apps and settings to use.
Then... Feel a lot better knowing that you are more secure and not leaking tons of private info.
Currently this is the best/happiest I've been with my phone setup since I had cyanogenmod on the galaxy s8.
*Make sure you don't get an OEM locked pixel! (not verizon)
