Let's say you bought all your Bitcoin KYC in country A. And you move to country B to live in a country where the authorities don't know you bought Bitcoin or how much you bought. What are the chances that in the future, the two countries will cooperate in order to seize the Bitcoin, or prosecute you for trying to evade the state? #asknostr

countries (governments) tend to work together to hurt citizens, so i wouldn't be surprised

If they go broke, and there are loads of Bitcoin billionaires trying to flee, then it makes total sense

When... 😜

Over a long enough time? 100%

Maybe it only takes some AI reading nostr lol

Every Bitcoiner discovers the power of Monero when he is ready...

Monero Nora when?

I do have some monero tbf. Watch this space 👀

I believe in the “sovereign individual” book future scenario: states will be desperate for money and will compete with one another to get money from anyone, something like “if you got money and you give me some I don’t give a shit about anything else”. More likely that small/developing countries will be like this.

Personal opinion (which is also a wish!)

Yeah I think that's true. For example, el Salvador. But I think the legacy nation states will steal, as is their nature

Yep I agree with you, developed countries will go for the “steal/control route” first, they’ll try everything else before giving in any control.

I hope your “friend” is/has considered a smaller/developing country for the scenario you described

My friend thinks about it a lot. And says thank you for the tips 🤝

No worries, anytime 🤙🏼 I also have a friend who’s been thinking the same exact thing. Perhaps our respective friends will one day meet in this 3rd country!
