That’s the thing about being a useful idiot.

The useful idiot is an idiot, and as such doesn’t realize they are a pawn being controlled by forces beyond their comprehension.

It’s good to refuse to become a useful idiot.

It’s also good to backcheck prior assumptions to make sure one isn’t already a useful idiot.

Most people don’t backcheck prior assumptions to avoid the potential for ego bruising.
