I would assume that some kind of money to buy certain higiene products would be acceptable if only targeted to woman but why specifically food vouchers and why to woman ?
Isn't that obvious? Women usually get the kids. Single people, at least from old state back home no matter if you're a woman or a man. You ain't getting jack shit from the government if you're single and have no kids. You're ass can work. I grew up in the ghetto and I'm sorry. But I've just seen a lot of chicks use having kids as an insurance policy man.

Men can and will take what they need. Even if they have to kill you to get it.
Men have significantly greater job opportunities than women.

"Why wemon?" For the same reason we put women and children on a lifeboat first.
When women don't go hungry children don't either. Wemon are especially vulnerable to hunger at times. Whether rich or poor.
They are more important and essential individually than men.
They have twice as many gene's as men. This makes them more important for human adaptation, evolution and survival.
Lastly, it's very hard to get anything through Congress. It's more likely to succeed if it's focused only on women.
It would be nice if it was done for both. But protecting women from hunger is essential..🤔
