I don't get clients adding event ids to follow or mute lists. These things would fit much better in a local storage setting, since they are temporary.

Absolutely agree, Karnage.

Because activity on a thread only lasts for a while. You don't want to store forever and replicate to everywhere that you are interested in the replies to a thread that only had 5 replies 6 months ago.

Oh this is about muting threads not npubs?
