Also, fun fact, if you are an 80 year old and receive an organ from a 20 year old, it doesn't mean that the organ will live another 80 years or so. The age of the host will make the organ age faster.

That would be a waste of an organ in my opinion

You're not thinking about the profit motive.

These organs cost nothing, they are taken from Palestinian children.

The 80 year old is willing to pay a large sum of money to the organ harvesters and traffickers and the surgeons and the hospital and the insurance company.

Everyone wins except the children getting their organs harvested

Not with that attitude.

For heart transplants the young organ developes coronary arteries disease at an accelerated rate. Thought to be in large part due to the immune system *attacking* the heart as foreign.

Yeah but you can counteract that by getting blood taken from children injected into you.

There's a horror movie here..

The body's defenses still fight the foreign tissues, even with immunosuppressants, so I wouldn't expect that organ to last a long time.

Neither of the two people I knew who received transplants even made it to a decade.
