Why do I see so many double ##hashtags these days?

But they're typically in the middle of sentences, like Calle exemplified
I noticed that too! Why indeed? One of the clients must be misbehaving? It probably adds the manually typed hashtag in the tags without removing the hashtag symbol. The tags area adds the hashtag symbol back.
Some client somewhere has a silly parsing bug?
