I have never been so terrified by a book before. 😳

"1984" by George Orwell depicts a potential reality that could unfold if we continue on our current path. I believe it is crucial for every #Pleb to read this book in order to comprehend the gravity of what we are up against.

I will attempt to write a summary once I feel I have proper grasped its meaning. It's not easy!

Great book and it's one of two books the government reckons could "radicalise" you. 1984 and oddly, Lord of the Rings. True story.

If the Gov doesn't want you to read certain books then you should definitely read them.

It is. I've read it for the first time many years ago and did so again a few months ago. It's more "factual" now than ever before. Almost scary yet eye opening.

I am going to read it multiple times. I got a sense that it is not a normal book, it is going to stay with me for a long time.

1984 used to be required reading in many high school literature classes.

Has apparently been confused with a how-to manual and is therefore discouraged.

I understand what you're saying you are saying. There is a whole category of books dedicated to explaining '1984', I will start reading those after finishing this one.
