I don’t think there’s any mass acceptance of Zuckbucket’s goofy as surveillance Raybans. Industry is out of idea. Industry media will hype anything to stay relevant.

It appears to me that human civilization has reach a point where any step function advancement in broad digital fidelity AND material science / physics are now both predicated and dramatic scaling of energy output and the corresponding asymptomatic collapse in the marginal cost energy.

Until we shift focus to achieving this everything put forward by industry as “the next big thing” will only be idiotic and dystopian.

Luckily, I do think Bitcoin fixes this…
