How do you cope with profilicity?

Having different online personas for your different passions and obligations?

Corporate, personal, and nym?

This multiple online personality syndrome is doing my head in, but I don't know whether to go full personal brand, full nym, or full schizo. I need to up by corporate blah blah game for the fiat mine, so that's got me thinking.

Just one nym. I don't do anything other than nostr anyway

I'm just me online.

Made me laugh. So, shift my paradigm from 'work or personal' to 'combat' and I'll be fine. A bit like Nunya Bidness 'this is not a negotiation'. Might struggle with the employer on that one, but it's a path to follow.

You're being you, as a nym - so is 'one nym and done' the answer?

I know it's a joke, but combat is a good way of looking at it. If you're not going to stand up and fight for who you are, no one will. At least on Nostr, I don't see any need for being multiple people for different situations. I've already lived a life of many faces both online and off, and it's hurt more than helped in the end.

My npub is my "one nym to end them all" so to speak. And I try as much as possible to never put on a face around others anymore. It's hard, but a little "GFY" goes a long way ๐Ÿงก

Have had several, finally found a nym that comes with ease and feels natural. It took some years of messing around to get there though.

Thanks Jay.

That's really helpful.

Wake up, and choose violence, lol (figuratively speaking, of course)

Just be yourself. We don't need to make up words to describe mental anguish over something that shouldn't be happening anyway.

Thanks. You're here being yourself as a nym called 'Chancellor'? Is that the way forward then, one nym and done?
