Yes. Interesting, people been moving away from that in recent years due to deep learning.
It amazes me that by just adding a single new column based on given data, how much the model can be improved.
Yeah, if you point a model towards what it should look for, it makes it way easier to learn rules. Deep Learning is a hype train. Yes it's amazing what can be done with it, but for many tasks it's the wrong tool. Especially if you can describe the features the model should look at during training, just do it.😅
