I don’t run the Lightning node because it’s profitable, or because it’s safe, or because it’s techy and sexy. I do it because it chips away from the centralized and corporation controlled network of payment processors. It is a lossy business for the most node operators, but it keeps the network functioning and payments going without “big brother’s” permission or blessing. Fuck the corporations, let ‘em rot and stagnate
