Our server verifies your zap payment and sends you the decryption key. The nostr event stores the encrypted content. Fanfares decrypts and displays it. 🫡

When you say send, you meant like using a new kind or DM?
Right now you receive it from an API call, but in the future it will probably be via DM from a DVM
Hmmm OK, so it's not decentralized, as I suspected.
The product sounds like a good idea, I'm glad someone is building this, but I wish it were more decentralized, in the spirit of Nostr (but I don't know how that would be achievable)
Our goal is to package Fanfares so anyone can run it themselves. Then it is fully decentralized. Creators would fully control the zapwalls of their own content.
It will take a while to get there 😅 took 3 years to get here, but we will get there

It may not be fully decentralized but it's 97% better than Patreon, Substack, Audible, or anything else out there that isn't interoperable and takes a massive cut of your revenue! We are well on our way toward what you hope for!
