Narcissistic relationships are like being trapped in a prison and not knowing we are, until we do. This adds to the hopeless feeling we often have because we didn’t realize we were trapped. We are not actually trapped even though it may feel impossible to leave. It’s not easy, but we can free ourselves even if we must stay.
