They probably only get to 70°C too…https://www.reddit.com/r/Sauna/comments/12dcncx/pictures_of_saunas_in_finnish_prisons/

Damn, that’s one of the better Saunas I’ve ever seen
Wow!
🤯🤯
Dependant on the sauna really. 80°C is like regular here, 90-100 °C when the boys wanna play tough.
105°C is the hottest I’ve been in.
But it really depends on the humidity, a dry 75°C sauna is worse than a 90°C humid one.
That’s why we usually throw water on the sauna walls
Wait but how long do you guys stay in at these temperatures ? 😱
3 x 10-15 minutes, sometimes longer. Having a BBQ, some beers and sauna is a really common thing amongst guys.
Just chatting and enjoying yoursef
Lock me away, Fins
that place is better than my house. Anyone know how I can arrested in Finland 😂
I'm from Sweden and we also have a Sauna culture, inherited from Finland of course. I used to live in an apartment that had a sauna. Every Sunday a group of friends used to join me for a session. Still miss those times. The conversations in those sessions tended to be much much deeper than the regular ones. Highly recommended! 😄
More like 80-120
Celsius
It now occurs to me that saunas may be the only human activity where Celsius makes sense.
Somewhere around 95°-100° C is my preference.
