I don't understand the difference between trending and popular and both DVMs seem to be either very slow or offline, at least I'm not getting any results right now. But that would be an interesting possibility to discover new nostriches to follow.

Best option I have found for new npubs to follow is hopping over to Coracle.social, just looking at people in my "Network" and cranking my WOT filter up to 10.
