We have lost hundreds of chickens to predation free ranging them. We built a chicken tractor out of PVC, the problem we encountered is uneven ground combined with the ingenuity of raccoons. I have considered some flexible heavy curtain to adapt to terrain like chain mail, but the weight makes moving it more difficult, and it already wasn’t easy.
