Sweetie. I have a new question :)))

What does "Meme" mean? You all use it.

Meme is breast in Turkish. : ))

There is also "The Meme" as a concept I read in the books Memetic Evolution.

But I think you can't use it as "imitation", can you?

A meme is usually a funny, or amusing picture related to actual events generally.

😂 ohh.. Thank you so much.. 🤗🤗🫂❤️

I believe it has the same origin as “memetic” (greek probably)

You are right. : )

The term meme is a shortening (modeled on gene) of mimeme, which comes from Ancient Greek mīmēma (μίμημα; pronounced [míːmɛːma]), meaning 'imitated thing', itself from mimeisthai (μιμεῖσθαι, 'to imitate'), from mimos (μῖμος, 'mime').

I didnt know its funny meaning : )

oh and also for “imitation” you could use “mimesis”

Hmm.. okay. Thanks.🫂

Memetic Evolution books use it as "Meme" . I thought that is special concept/ scientific term. :)))

No thank you! Now that I’ve looked at the book, it seems that Dawkins coined the term, and then it took on the internet usage of today. I love learning stuff like this

I like the definition given by Glenn Grant in the Memetic Lexicon:
