Power went down in my neighborhood for an hour. Not a very common thing here in Germany (yet) but a humbling experience nonetheless. Looks like everything is back up now.
It was actually a convenient pause but the lack of information on what’s going on and how long it will take, was a bit unnerving. There are unofficial outage-reporting sites where it showed up but no official page (power company) or legacy newspaper sites had information on it.
Doesn't your provider have a section for that on their site? Did you call them?
Yeah they have a section but it said „currently no issues“ … but I knew the whole neighborhood was affected, so I didn’t call anyone.
That's when the neighborhood should overload their phone system. Basically DDOS them for not providing info.
With our Chilean provider it would show up on their website shortly and I wonder how they could do this otherwise, as people would bombard them with calls. Bet you found out eventually.
