Before Nostr I was relentlessly searching for something like the old school Facebook experience.
I tried friendica which was the mastodon equivalent of facebook but it was kind of ass. ๐

They added a "just friends feed" back to the mobile app recently. It's litetally just friends' posts & its very nice... aside from the fact that they're probably using it to harvest data for this hyperpersonalized advertising thing I've seen reference to recently.
But yes. Nostr can bring it back with better incentives ๐

Maybe we could use NIP-17, which is used to encrypt DMs, to encrypt feed notes as well.
Suppose you have 10 friends โ when you post a note, itโs essentially like sending 10 identical DMs.
However, the note still appears in the feed. Only your friends can decrypt and read it; others canโt see the content.
