I don't get recipes that use sausages, but you have to remove them from the casing. The point of a sausage is the casing! Otherwise, it's just seasoned minced pork.

it's known as "loose sausage" for recipes like sausage gravy over biscuits is almost a "staple" for many.

sausage patties, also no casing, are a integral part of many breakfast sandwiches.

"sausage" is a grind of meat, fat and seasonings. embrace it.

True. But why eat nitrates and nitrites if we can avoid?

why do we eat anything we can avoid?

it's a giftwrapped message. sometimes the packaging is convenient for transit even if you remove it later ;)
