I met my wife in a climbing trip in Utah.
I was living in Boston at the time and begrudgingly moving to SF. I did a 2-week trip to Moab and was hitting up Couchsurfing to find climbing partners.
Long-story short, we got rained-out so decided to drive to City of Rocks, Idaho. During the long-drive and the next few days together we (I) fell madly in love, so when she went back to Spain I had to follow her.
10 years and two kids later, she is still my best friend, my favorite climbing partner and soul mate. 😀
aside: city of rocks has some fantastic climbing. love how remote it is. need to get back out there

yeah, it's pretty cool
I was a really bad climber back then so I could only get on the very easy stuff, but I remember the place looked like it had some really good routes 😀
Rye Crisp is this awesome 5.8, 2 pitch up an epic flake 😍
Looks fun! Rock on 🧗♂️
