The interesting thing about smell loss with Covid is it’s not based on the strength of the smell. You aren’t losing it because you’re congested and scents can’t get through; your olfactory nerves are basically getting stunned (and in extreme cases, killed).
So it’s not a strong vs. weak smell issue, but a chemical by chemical issue whether you can smell it or not.
