Always keep pullups on hand. Ultimate tool to instantly gauge weight to strength ratio.

If I can't rip pullups like spider man, I need to lose fat, and potentially lay off the lifting.

Climbing will tell you even better, but it's obviously not as accessible as a daily bout of pullups.

No amount of muscle is worth dragging ass.

I know 7a climbers that can't do 10 pullups in a row.
