I get an occasional Steller’s Jay here in Central Utah but their cousins, Western Scrub Jays are plentiful. I’ve never been able to identify a single one, but my “Stealer Jays” are stinkers that scoop all the seeds out of my feeders to get at the sunflower seeds in the mix. The ground-feeding quail love that!

My next step in birding in identifying all the sparrow varieties I have. It’s tough.
