A bona-fide bearded vulture gryphon-dragon of various unrelated skills: photography, perfumery, leather/metalworking, games and tech! DMs always open :) Half of what I post is photography, the other half is furry; 18+ minors DNI.

we just need like, 8-10 skilled artists to see that we have amazing ideas and then dedicate their entire lives to helping us make art. albums, paintings, soundscapes, sculptures, etc. we could never make it all alone, but with help...

unfortunately, 8-10 skilled artists all have amazing ideas of their own too, so there also needs to be some major reprogramming somewhere in the conversion. well, fine, that's ok, just need to find the artists with the mind control kinks.

fortunately, that isn't too rare :> if that's you, hello ^v^

the last thing you see before being tasted by gryphon beak

nostr:npub1aryjya494ndc34urq8mt0jhq7vwls52x8wewgxn2u3x2n0e4xdmq94k6wa I am not, thank you for the recommendation.

I haven't read enough non-mathematical philosophy, unfortunately :v one of my favorites, though, is "Mind of the Raven", which is about animal intelligence. I also really have liked "Games People Play".

One of the things I really want to read more about is the "Hard problem of consciousness", as I just figured out the name for it and can finally look into it easier xD

an unedited shot of a plant, r7 + tamron 100-400, just love the rendering!

gym was relatively empty today, started feeling shifty while working out, ended up smashing my previous bench pr by double the reps at the same weight. my inner gryphon has blessed me today!!

Hung out with nostr:npub146jgwchwtjqxmsgscwdhjug80rwlm5552jgdmjm4ex4wdpusepns3uxt3c for a bit in VRC tonight. I had a lot of fun. Flew some planes. Crashes a bunch. Scritches were had.

‘Twas a pleasant evening :verified_dragon:

nostr:npub146jgwchwtjqxmsgscwdhjug80rwlm5552jgdmjm4ex4wdpusepns3uxt3c Excellent story and pics! I get an occasional Steller’s Jay here in Central Utah but their cousins, Western Scrub Jays are plentiful. I’ve never been able to identify a single one, but my “Stealer Jays” are stinkers that scoop all the seeds out of my feeders to get at the sunflower seeds in the mix. The ground-feeding quail love that!

My next step in birding in identifying all the sparrow varieties I have. It’s tough.

nostr:npub1sqpl08wa7dcdyr2lp9myzl64rx26vf44h8wtsdr9vyaaj9m3z48qyfpmmt "Stealer jays" are exactly right... he would cache every walnut i put on that plate without fail! i must have fed him almost $100 in walnuts over a month xD

nostr:npub146jgwchwtjqxmsgscwdhjug80rwlm5552jgdmjm4ex4wdpusepns3uxt3c Steller's/Pine jays always made me think of a bird character designed by furries because of their intense colors. And they seem like crows with less attitude but smarter than blue jays.

I used to live in a place in Socal with a friendly blue jay that would take peanuts and hide them. Only problem was he considered putting a single leaf on top of the peanut to be hiding it. So another blue jay would steal it and then do the same thing. This would go on for a long time with every peanut.

I never saw what our nearby pine jays did with the nuts/kibble we put out. They were too skittish. It's amazing you got this much from the ones you met.
